dc.descriptionWith the various changes in the highly competitive environment in courses and graduate with clients / students increasingly demanding, the higher education institutions seeking to stand out should be prepared using efficiently the available tools. In this context, the use of appropriate performance measurement is vital to the institution, which is why it is proposed the use of tools based on the Balanced Scorecard - BSC. This article present a feasibility study and Implementation of BSC in an Institution of Higher Education as a Education Observatory. The method of the study was conducted in stages and characterized by the literature, which provided insight into the theoretical question of methods of performance measurement, in particular the Balanced Scorecard. As a result it was implanted in the BSCof IES, with that, you can have a macro view of performance indicators of post-graduate level in the broad sense. dc.descriptionCom as diversas mudanças no ambiente altamente competitivo nos cursos de Pós-graduação e com clientes/alunos cada vez mais exigentes, as Instituições de Ensino Superior que buscam destacar-se devem estar preparadas, utilizando de forma eficiente as ferramentas disponíveis. Neste contexto, a utilização de sistemas adequados de medição de desempenho são vitais para a Instituição, razão pela qual propõe-se a utilização de ferramentas baseadas no Balanced Scorecard - BSC. O presente artigo tem como objetivoapresentar um estudo e viabilidade para Implantação do BSC em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior, como um Observatório da Educação. Como método, o estudo foi realizado em etapas e caracterizado pelapesquisa bibliográfica, que proporcionou aprofundamento na questão teórica dos métodos de medição de desempenho, em especial o Balanced Scorecard.
