metadata.atena.dc.description: A partir das narrativas escritas por carnavalescos, o carnaval ganha forma pelas mãos de ferreiros, marceneiros, costureiras, bordadeiras e artesãos. Das favelas para o mundo, as escolas de samba do Rio de Janeiro se organizaram e, juntas, conquistaram respeito e prestígio que se materializaram por meio da construção de um Sambódromo, da Cidade do Samba, dentre outras. A temática tem sido estudada pela Sociologia, Antropologia, Psicologia, Comunicação, mas pouco iluminada pela área da gestão. Realizou-se estudo exploratório em que se utilizou fonte de dados primários e secundários, visando levantar o processo de internacionalização das escolas de samba. Dentre os achados, verificou-se que a maioria já vivenciou o processo de internacionalização. Por fim, foram feitas sugestões para futuras pesquisas. From the favelas to the world, the “samba schools” of Rio de Janeiro, got together, gaining respect and prestige that materialized through the construction of places named “Sambódromo”, “The city of Samba” and others. This subject has been studied by different fields such as Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Advertising, but very little by Management. An exploratory research was made using primary and secondary data in order to understand the internationalization process of “samba schools”. The results of this research show that “Samba Biz” is already in the internationalization process. At last, some suggestions for further researches have already been made.
